On September 8, GrowMax Group<\/strong>, in cooperation with the Vietnam Agriculture & Environment Newspaper<\/strong>, continued its scholarship program in Phuoc An Commune (Dong Nai)<\/strong> and Phuoc Vinh Dong and Thuan My Communes (Tay Ninh)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the start of the new school year, while the echoes of the school drum still lingered in the air, students at Phuoc An Primary and Secondary Schools (Dong Nai), Phuoc Vinh Dong Primary School (Tay Ninh), and Phan Van Dat High School (Tay Ninh)<\/strong> experienced a special morning. Along with their first classes of the week, they received GrowMax scholarships worth 1 million VND each<\/strong>, presented directly to disadvantaged children striving to continue their education.<\/p>\n

Smiles of Joy and Determination<\/h4>\n

At Phuoc An Primary School<\/strong>, 10 students\u2019 faces lit up with joy as their names were called. Holding their envelopes tightly, they appeared empowered to begin the school year with renewed strength.<\/p>\n

Principal Tran Thi My Trang<\/strong> shared: \u201cOut of more than 1,300 students, around 5% come from disadvantaged families. These children often lack basics like shoes, uniforms, and new notebooks. Today\u2019s scholarships not only reduce their worries but also give them faith in knowledge and in the care of those who walk alongside them on their journey.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Tran Nguyen Phuong Nho and Nguyen Tran Khanh Vy were deeply moved as they received support that encouraged them to continue their schooling.

Among the recipients was Tran Nguyen Phuong Nho, a 5th grader.<\/strong> Her father catches crabs and fish, her mother works in a factory, and the family lives in a cramped rental room. Despite hardship, she said softly but with determination: \u201cI will use the scholarship to buy books and supplies. I dream of becoming a teacher one day, like my teacher now.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Sitting nearby, Nguyen Tran Khanh Vy, a 4th grader,<\/strong> shared: \u201cI will use the scholarship to buy new clothes for school. I promise to study hard so I don\u2019t let down my teachers and the kind people who helped me.\u201d<\/em> Her innocent words drew applause across the schoolyard.<\/p>\n

At Phuoc An Secondary School<\/strong>, Pham Nguyen Hoang Kha, an 8th grader,<\/strong> impressed teachers with his resolve. His family rents a small room, his mother works in a factory, yet he remains determined: \u201cI want to become a police officer to protect people. I\u2019ll use this scholarship to buy reference books and study hard.\u201d<\/em> His words, spoken with bright eyes, moved many to tears.<\/p>\n

Another student, Pham Ngoc Kieu Tien (Grade 7),<\/strong> added: \u201cMy father is ill, and my mother works in a factory to support the family. I dream of becoming a teacher to help children in circumstances like mine. This scholarship makes me feel I am not alone and that my dream is not so far away.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Powerful Motivation in Coastal and Rural Communities<\/h4>\n

At Phuoc Vinh Dong Primary School<\/strong>, the schoolyard filled with flags and anticipation. Principal Nguyen Trong Quy<\/strong> explained: \u201cOur commune is a disadvantaged coastal area with saline intrusion lasting more than six months a year. Livelihoods mainly rely on aquaculture, small livestock farming, and petty trade. These scholarships are meaningful encouragement, motivating students to strive for achievements and later contribute to the development of their homeland.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Parents also shared heartfelt gratitude. Vo Van Tuan, father of student Vo Bao Ngoc,<\/strong> said: \u201cI have three children, and our family depends on my wife\u2019s factory job and my boat work. The school year costs more than 3 million VND, so this support truly eases the burden. No matter how hard it is, we will keep working to give our children an education.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Nguyen Minh Triet, a 4th grader,<\/strong> said: \u201cI am very happy and moved to receive this scholarship. My parents are laborers, so we often face difficulties. The scholarship helps me buy books and supplies, and it encourages me to study harder. I promise to do my best and not disappoint my teachers and the people who helped me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
