Though modest in value, the annual scholarships from the GrowMax Scholarship Fund always arrive at the right time, offering encouragement to underprivileged students and nurturing their dreams of education.
On September 29, GrowMax Group, in collaboration with the Vietnam Agriculture & Environment Newspaper, awarded 10 scholarships, each worth VND 1 million, to disadvantaged students at Nghia Phu Primary and Secondary School (An Phu Commune, Quang Ngai Province). This marks the second time that students at this coastal school have received support from the GrowMax Scholarship Fund.

Among the recipients was Nguyen Nang Nhat, a Grade 2A student facing exceptionally difficult circumstances. His mother left when he was only 10 months old, and he has since been raised by his paternal grandparents. His father has no stable job and, just two weeks ago, suffered a severe traffic accident and is currently under intensive treatment at Da Nang Hospital.
Mrs. Cao Thi Beo, Nhat’s grandmother, shared that friends and relatives had raised over VND 10 million to help pay the father’s medical bills, but this covers only a fraction of the ongoing costs. The elderly grandparents earn a meager living from nearshore fishing but still strive to keep their grandson in school.
“Receiving this scholarship from the GrowMax Scholarship Fund today, our family is deeply grateful for the care and support. This assistance truly warms our hearts and gives us faith to continue supporting his education,” Mrs. Beo said tearfully.

According to Mr. Vo Van Thinh, Vice Principal of Nghia Phu Primary and Secondary School, the school currently has 1,028 students, most of whose parents work in fishing, aquaculture, or agriculture. Statistics show that 73 students are classified as poor or near-poor, with many lacking even the basic conditions for study.
“The students receiving scholarships this time are among the most disadvantaged. We sincerely appreciate the support of GrowMax Group and the Vietnam Agriculture & Environment Newspaper. This demonstrates that beyond their core business activities, these organizations are committed to social responsibility and community support. We hope the GrowMax Scholarship Fund will continue to grow, expanding meaningful programs to help poor students nationwide,” Mr. Thinh emphasized.

Representing GrowMax Group in Quang Ngai, Mr. Nguyen Tan Sy noted that through its work in the area, the company had observed many students who, despite hardship, remain diligent in their studies and nurture ambitions to rise above adversity.
“This gift may not be large in monetary terms, but we believe that society’s care and encouragement will be a powerful motivator for these children to overcome challenges and become valuable members of society in the future,” Mr. Sy said.
