Aspiration to build the Vietnamese shrimp industry ecosystem

Established in June 2020, GrowMax Group (GrowMax Group) carries within it a vision and aspiration that has lasted for more than 2 decades of the entire Vietnamese shrimp industry, which is to build a Vietnamese shrimp feed brand, owned by Vietnamese people, to fully develop the value chain of the Vietnamese shrimp industry.

After just over 4 years on the market, GrowMax has risen to become one of the two largest and most prestigious shrimp feed brands in Vietnam.

Currently, GrowMax owns a team of more than 400 experts with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Mai Van Hoang himself has more than 25 years of experience in the shrimp industry. Mr. Hoang emphasized: “Currently, only GrowMax is proud to be the Vietnamese shrimp feed brand in the market”.

In addition to producing shrimp feed, GrowMax is also a producer of shrimp seeds, biological products for shrimp farming, high-tech shrimp farming in many localities across the country, as well as processing for export. This is a closed ecosystem of the shrimp industry that GrowMax has built to optimize value and improve efficiency for shrimp farmers.

GrowMax is also a pioneer in investing in high-tech shrimp farms in many provinces and cities across the country. These farms are not only production sites, but also research centers, testing different shrimp farming methods and processes to best suit the soil conditions of each locality.

Recently, our country’s shrimp industry is facing many challenges, including a sharp decline in output due to disease, especially EHP. Accordingly, GrowMax has quickly implemented the “Water-recirculating shrimp farming process – biosecurity”, helping hundreds of farming households overcome the challenges of the EHP pandemic and increase production efficiency.

Investing in education is investing in the future

In addition to sustainable development in production and business, GrowMax Group always aims for social responsibility, especially for students in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Hoang said that the GrowMax Scholarship Fund was established in 2021, just one year after the Group officially started operating, as part of the Group’s commitment to social development. The fund was established to help poor students overcome difficulties, especially those in coastal areas. “Investing in education is investing in the future,” Mr. Hoang emphasized.

The establishment of the GrowMax Scholarship Fund not only provides financial support, but also motivates students to continue their learning journey and build a solid future.

Mr. Hoang shared about his field trips to coastal areas, where he witnessed many fishing families, especially children, facing great financial difficulties, to the point of having to abandon their studies. Those situations always haunted him and became the motivation for him to build the GrowMax Scholarship Fund.

“The stories of children who cannot go to school because of lack of transportation, or whose families cannot afford to send them to school, always make me worry,” he said. And from those thoughts, the GrowMax Education Promotion Fund was born.

The Education Promotion Fund not only provides scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, but also creates opportunities for them to enter the path of education, seek and develop their own abilities, and contribute to changing the lives of their families and communities.

Up to now, the GrowMax Education Promotion Fund has implemented many meaningful programs, especially the program of giving bicycles to poor students. From the beginning, the program has received great support from the community and has awarded thousands of scholarships and more than 4,500 bicycles to students in 27 coastal provinces and cities across the country. Bicycles are not only a means to help children overcome difficulties in commuting to school, but also a symbol of hope and effort to rise up.

GrowMax’s bicycle donation program, with its “wheels” of dreams, is not only a practical act of support, but also a symbol of accompanying the young generation on the path of learning. The donated bicycles are the “keys” that open up the future for children, helping them rise from poverty, overcome difficulties to reach their dreams.

Sharing one of the touching stories during the bicycle donation trips, Mr. Hoang did not forget to tell the story of Truong Thi Kim Ngan, a 2A student at Thuan Dien Primary School, Thuan Dien Commune, Giong Trom District, Ben Tre Province. Ngan is one of the students with difficult circumstances, born into a poor family and with an intellectual disability. Despite facing many challenges, Ngan still perseveres in going to school every day.

“When receiving the bicycle from the program, both Ngan and her mother could not hide their joy. Their bright smiles deeply touched me,” Mr. Hoang shared.

In addition to the touching stories, Mr. Hoang also said that GrowMax always wanted the bicycle donation program to not stop at 4,500 bicycles. The Group has planned to expand the program and give more bicycles to help more students.

“We hope that these bicycles will be a means to help children overcome difficulties in going to school, creating conditions for them to continue studying and pursuing their dreams. This is one of the ways GrowMax shows its commitment to accompany the young generation across the country, contributing to building a brighter future for them,” Mr. Hoang added.

Wishing to create long-term value, Mr. Hoang committed: “As long as GrowMax is still operating and continues to receive trust, support and love from customers, the GrowMax Scholarship Fund will continue to be maintained and continuously developed. GrowMax does not only stop at supporting students in coastal areas, but also wishes to expand the scope of the Fund’s activities to remote, mountainous and highland areas – where the learning conditions of students are still difficult”.

It is known that in the coming time, the GrowMax Scholarship Fund will expand a number of support programs for students who have just graduated from high school with difficult circumstances to continue studying aquaculture at universities and colleges in Vietnam. After graduation, GrowMax commits to accepting them to work at the Group, creating conditions for them to both develop their careers and contribute to the country’s aquaculture industry.

I myself was born into a poor family in a coastal district of Ha Tinh province, due to difficult circumstances I had to leave my hometown at a young age, and then had to overcome many challenges to be able to study. Thanks to my tireless efforts, I have risen up, escaped poverty and achieved today”.
