MINISTER NGUYỄN XUÂN CƯỜNG VISITS GROWMAX AQUAFEED FACTORY

On the morning of December 22nd, Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong and the working delegation visited the GROWMAX aquafeed production plant at Loc An – Binh Son Industrial Park, Long Thanh, Dong Nai.

Minister Nguyễn Xuân Cường is reviewing the quality indicators of GROWMAX aquafeed products.

The GROWMAX aquafeed factory covers an area of 35,000 m². Construction began on May 26, 2020, and it was completed and put into operation in November 2020, with 100% domestic investment.

This is one of Vietnam’s most modern shrimp feed production plants, equipped with a 2020 production line imported from Taiwan, utilizing automation technology with 10 production lines capable of an annual output of 230,000 tons.

The products are expected to be supplied to the domestic aquafeed market and support the company’s export plans for 2021.

During the site visit, Minister Nguyễn Xuân Cường highly appreciated the efforts of the entire leadership and engineering team of GROWMAX Aquafeed Co., Ltd. in applying scientific and technological advancements to the production process, thereby enhancing product quality and value.

Minister Nguyễn Xuân Cường showed particular interest in the development of a closed-loop model encompassing:

  • Shrimp feed

  • Broodstock

  • Supplemental and environmental treatment products

  • Demonstration farms in various localities

  • Technical support and farming technology

This model aims to help Vietnamese farmers achieve sustainable shrimp farmingreduce production costs, and meet both domestic and export market demands.

Mr. Lê Trần Bá Thông, Deputy General Director of GROWMAX Aquafeed Co., Ltd., shared that leveraging inherent potential in resources and climate, and particularly a team of experts, engineers, and technicians with 20 years of experience from the world’s leading shrimp feed corporations, GROWMAX is continually elevating the value of Vietnamese shrimp feed to compete with major global brands.

Distributor Trương Văn Lợi from Tiền Giang noted that although newly introduced to the market, GROWMAX aquafeed products boast high-quality indicators, an appealing aroma, and product sizes suitable for various shrimp growth stages. The product pricing is also highly competitive.

The Minister expressed great delight that, for the first time, a 100% Vietnamese-owned enterprise has successfully produced high-quality shrimp feed, which is highly regarded by shrimp farmers across the country compared to brands from foreign corporations. This is a proud achievement for Vietnam’s fisheries sector.
