On October 24th, GrowMax Aquafeed Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper, awarded 20 scholarships to students at Pho An Secondary School (Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province) who face difficult circumstances but demonstrate perseverance in their studies.

Each scholarship is valued at 1 million VND. The funding is drawn from the GrowMax Scholarship Fund, established by GrowMax Aquafeed Co., Ltd. and Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper in August of this year. Over the past two months, the two founding organizations have coordinated to award scholarships to thousands of students across coastal provinces and cities nationwide.

Upon receiving this scholarship, Nguyễn Thị Kiều Chinh, a 9th-grade student at Pho An Secondary School, shared that her family has four siblings. Her father works as a fisherman, and her mother is a farmer. Their parents’ income is just enough to support the children’s education and daily needs. During times of rough seas or crop failures, the family faces significant hardships.

Wanting to ease her parents’ burdens, Chinh has always strived to excel in her studies. Throughout her three years in secondary school, she has consistently been recognized as an outstanding student. Receiving this scholarship, Chinh joyfully expressed: “During my time here, I have received immense encouragement and support from my teachers and friends at school. However, this is the first time I have ever received a scholarship.”

“The value of this scholarship means a great deal to me. It serves as a motivation for me to strive even harder in my upcoming educational journey. With this money, I will use it to buy books and study materials, and to somewhat help my parents financially,” Chinh said.

According to Mr. Nguyễn Thành Dự, Principal of Pho An Secondary School, the students selected by the school to receive scholarships this time are those facing particularly difficult circumstances. Their families’ economies primarily depend on agricultural production or aquaculture, which has suffered losses and failures.

“The school is deeply grateful to GrowMax Aquafeed Co., Ltd. and Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper for establishing the GrowMax Scholarship Fund to support and assist students. Today, we are greatly honored to be chosen as the institution to award these scholarships. For the students receiving scholarships this time, the school will continue to provide support and assistance in the future, helping them strive further and achieve high academic results,” expressed Mr. Dự.

Mr. Hoàng Văn Nhã, Regional Director of Region 1 (Central Vietnam) for GrowMax Aquafeed Co., Ltd., stated that although the value of these scholarships may not be substantial, the organizing entities hope they will serve as a source of encouragement for the students.
